MVES - "When I Grow Up" Day continued...Get ready!!! They will be taking over for us before we know it!!

MVES - Today was "When I Grow Up" Day and students were encouraged to dress as the professional they aspire to be one day!! They were absolutely amazing and we know they can be anything they aspire to be!!!

MVES - A belated thank you to Stone Bank for the gift basket of teacher supplies during Teacher Appreciation Week.

MVES - Today, we celebrated "50 Years at 201 Elementary Drive" starting this morning with commemorative t-shirts for our students, faculty, and staff and then ended the day with cake and punch. A special thank you to Centennial Bank for sponsoring the celebration. We also appreciate Tim Winningham capturing photos with his drone this morning of our celebrating crew! We ♥️ 201 Elementary Drive!

MVES - Thank you to Centennial Bank for providing the meal and cooking at our bi-annual cook-out and to First Baptist Church for serving the meal to our students to give our cafeteria ladies a break for the day. We appreciate both of these groups for giving year after year to our students during the cook-outs.

MVES - Thank you, Farm Bureau, for bringing sandwiches to our teachers as we finish out Teacher Appreciation Week.

MVES - Centennial Bank ensured all of our teachers got a "piece of the pie" as we celebrated our new improved simulated school letter grade from the Arkansas Department of Education. This new grade reflects significant academic growth for our school and is based on the updated ATLAS accountability measures for the 2023–24 academic year. Due to HB 1598 passing in the latest legislative session, the grade is informational only; however, it does offer a valuable look at how a school is performing and progressing. Congratulations, Mountain View Elementary, for leading with consistency!!

MVES - After reading "The Lemonade War," Ms. Hughes' class had a celebration with all things lemony🍋

MVES - It was another sweet morning at Mountain View Elementary when Compass View Church dropped off donuts and candy to honor our teachers. Thank you for starting our day off (how else can we say it) sweetly!!

MVES - First Baptist Church treated our teachers to lunch for Teacher Appreciation Week. Thank you for caring about our staff!!

MVES - Samantha Richardson and April Collins from First Service Bank stopped by this afternoon to show their appreciation for our teachers. Thank you for the sweet ending to our day!!

MVES - Keri McCarn and Mindy Cooper stopped by from the Northcentral Arkansas Education Service Cooperative to show appreciation for our teachers! We are so grateful for our educational co-op that is such a huge support for our staff!!

MVES - Teacher Appreciation Week continues!! Taylar Sherrill and Tony Belsan, along with Lilly Green behind the camera, from Centennial Bank started our day with donuts and fruit. Thank you for a great start to our day!

MVES - Recycling comes in many different forms!! Kindergarteners enjoying the outdoor classroom as they planted sunflowers with compost made from elementary cafeteria waste.

MVES - First graders were captured in awe after studying the life cycle of butterflies and watching their release🦋

MVES - We have some very proud authors and illustrators in 2nd grade! Each child wrote about what they think their life might look like in 20 years, then drew an illustration to go along with it.

MVES - As we wrapped up testing in April, Mrs. Crymes' class showed off their growth!

MVES - It's Teacher Appreciation Week and we certainly do appreciate our teachers, as does our community!! Wal-Mart surprised us with sweet treats to start the day and Mrs. Jennifer Hinston, along with some helpers, held a fiesta as we celebrated our wonderful staff at lunch!! A big THANK YOU to both Wal-Mart and Mrs. Hinston for making our teachers feel special♥️

MVES - ...and outside on the playground♥️
