MVES - Fourth grade recently took their end of the year reward trip early in order to tour Blanchard Springs Caverns. We are so fortunate to have such a unique field trip destination here in Stone County! A big thank you to the U.S. Forest Service for hosting our trip!

MVES - April has been a busy month!! We started out the month with a visit from the University of Arkansas as Mountain View Elementary was chosen by the Office of Nationally Competitive Awards for the Arkansas Reads Program. The recent visit from Chancellor Charles Robinson, Dr. Suzanne McCray, and the UofA team was a moment of inspiration for MVES. We are deeply grateful for the generous donation of over 8,000 books, as well as the much-appreciated Expo markers for our teachers! Our students were gifted with commemorative t-shirts. These gifts will make a lasting impact on our students and in our classrooms. Our students continue to prove they can Beat the Odds!

MVES - We want to thank our parents for coming to Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, March 20. We can't do this without you! We also appreciate the Sonic drinks given to us by MVMS Student Council. You guys knew just what we needed to get through the long day! Thank you! MVES - Mountain View Elementary School has been recognized by the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas as a school that is Beating the Odds by receiving the High Math Growth (Northeast region) award. This award was earned by MVES students, who demonstrated significant growth in math on the Arkansas Testing, Learning, & Assessment System (ATLAS) exams, even though the school serves a high percentage of students who participate in the Free and Reduced Lunch program. This award is a testament of our students' hard work, our teachers' dedication, and our parents' support. We appreciate each of you and give you all the honor in this award!
