MVES - We finished out Teacher Appreciation Week with a 25% coupon from Sasquatch Cave. We also received some delicious cupcakes from Sugar Booger (aka our own Leah White) this morning and strawberries and cookies from sweet Rayleigh Clark yesterday. So many kind gestures and words were extended to our teachers this week. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
MVES - Our students were able to spend time learning about Stone County at the Stone County Museum. As Stone County celebrates 150 years, it is heartwarming to see our future meet our past.
MVES- Teacher Appreciation Week continues at Mountain View Elementary!! This morning we held a Teacher Parade to showcase all of our wonderful teachers. We also want to extend a thank you to our local Mountain View Wal-Mart for the donuts & cookies this morning and to Mrs. Jennifer Hinston, Pure International Classy Ms. South Central Arkansas, along with the little Gammill's, for our Mexican luncheon!!

MVES - ￼￼￼￼￼￼￼Students explored how solid rock breaks apart into smaller pieces through weathering. In the activity, they used sugar cubes as a model for rocks. They performed an experiment with this model to understand the process of weathering and how this process explains why rocks at the tops of mountains are jagged, while those at the bottom are rounded.

MVES - If you don't have a "Joy of Testing," then we highly recommend you get one as soon as possible!! (You just can't have ours!!) Wherever she and her blue hair go, there are sure to be smiles...even on test days!! No need to be blue about testing with Joy around!!

MVES - Our fourth graders showed off their skills of playing our new ukuleles in "MV's Got Talent." We would like to thank Mountain View Music for allowing us to purchase the ukuleles at cost and to Centennial Bank for donating the cost of $2,359.48 for a complete class set. What a wonderful addition to our music class!

MVES - WOO HOO!!! We completed 3rd and 4th grade ACT Aspire testing today and again, we had 100% of our 3rd and 4th graders at school!! THANK YOU to all of our parents, guardians, & caregivers for making that happen.

This has been the BEST attendance and we couldn't be prouder of our students. We had 100% of our students for 2 days of testing and 99% on the other day (which is 99.7%)!! Absolutely amazing!! While our students and teachers rocked the test, our parents/guardians/caregivers rocked the support!! #togetherweswarm
