MVES - Mountain View Elementary has a confirmed positive case of Covid-19 in a first grade classroom. Parents have been contacted and this classroom will be quarantined according to last contact. If you have not been contacted by the school, this will not affect your child. We appreciate your understanding and support.
MVES - It's Almost Time!!! Tomorrow, August 26 will be our FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!! We can't wait to see all of our students! As you know, we are having to make some changes due to COVID-19. Please be advised of the following changes for this year:
1. Please check your child's temperature before sending to school each day. If your child has a fever of 100.4 degrees or higher, you must keep them home until they are fever-free without the use of fever-reducing medication for 24 hours.
2. Anyone who is 4th grade and over must wear a face covering that covers their mouth and nose when entering the building.
3. No visitors will be allowed to enter the building at this time. This includes the first day of school. (We know and we are sorry!!) We will have staff on hand to assist students to the classrooms. This also means no visitors for lunch.
4. No outside deliveries for students or teachers may be sent to school.
5. If your child is tardy or being checked out early, please call the Elementary Office (870-269-3104) or the Kindergarten Office (870-269-9706). We will meet your child or bring them to you. Please be on time!
6. Our water fountains are closed at this time. Please send a filled water bottle with your child everyday. WATER ONLY.
7. We will start unloading cars at 7:50 a.m.
We are all working together as we return to school. Please remind your child to wash their hands, not to touch their faces, and to keep their hands to themselves. Thank you for your understanding and assisting us in making our school a safe environment for our students!
Thank you to the best SRO crew! We appreciate you so much!
We have soap left! Come see the girls from Save the Children!
MVES - It’s Time!!!! Class Lists have been posted!! You may drive by the Elementary School or the Kindergarten building to find who your child’s teacher is for this year. Please do not call the school for class list information. We are currently preparing for Open House on Thursday, August 20 and for school starting Wednesday, August 26!! We can’t wait to see all our students again!!!
MVES - MV Campus Open House on Thursday, August 20th will be a drive through only. We ask that all vehicles enter, one-way, on N Riggsville Drive by Best Drug unless your student is in 3rd grade, 4th grade, or a student of Mrs. Brewer, Mrs. White, Mrs. Smith, or Ms. Connie. These teachers will be in front of the elementary building where you can enter on Elementary School Drive. The route will be one-way to keep the flow of traffic safe and organized. 1st grade, 2nd grade, Kindergarten, and Prek will be at stations on Killian Drive. If you are going to MS or HS, you may use the left lane to bypass elementary locations. Middle School will be located on the sidewalk in front of the Middle School building, behind the football field. High School will be located in the Sophomore parking lot, behind the field house. Save the Children will be located in the Junior parking lot by the Agri building. Save the Children will be distributing items donated while supplies last. Because both lanes of traffic around the school will be used as one way, we ask that all vehicles exit on High School Dive by the Stone County Hospital. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. We look forward to seeing you and your children!
