Rural Special Schools

RS: Today, we celebrated Read Across America Week by dressing as what we want to do when we grow up. Some had college shirts on, while others dressed as the career they hope to have. We also had a visit by a professional storyteller who told a Chinese folktale. What a great day!

Rural Special...Our Lady Rebels will be playing Nemo Vista in Round 1 of the 1A State Basketball Tournament!! This game will be on Thursday, March 2, at 4:00 at Ozark. RS: We are kicking off our Read Across America week in our pjs and cozying up in the hallway with a good book!

RS: Lady Rebels finished 3rd in Regionals today with a 50-46 win over Marked Tree. We will play March 2 at 4:00 pm at Ozark in the state tournament. Go Rebels!!!

RS: Lady Rebels will play for 3rd place in the Regional tournament tomorrow at noon. Go Rebels!!

RSHS: We've had an exciting morning at RS! Seniors received announcements and caps/gowns, and juniors received class rings!

RS: Our senior Lady Rebels just advanced to the semi finals of the Regional tournament with a 57-38 win over Hillcrest. They will play Mammoth Spring tomorrow at 4:00pm at Calico Rock. This win also advances them to the state tournament! Go Rebels!

RS: Reminder: Lady Rebels play in the 1st round of Regionals today at 4:00pm. Tickets MUST be purchased through GoFan either online or at the game with a credit or debit card. Go Rebels!

RS: Reminder: Our senior Lady Rebels will play in the 1st round of Regionals Thursday at 4:00pm at Calico Rock. IMPORTANT: Tickets for admission MUST be purchased through GoFan. There will be a device available at the admission gate for people who do not have online access to purchase tickets. They will need to use a debit or credit card. Go Rebels!!!!

RS: Reminder: No school Monday for Presidents Day. Also, our Senior Lady Rebels play in the Finals of the District Tournament Saturday at 5:00pm. Go Rebels!!!

RSHS: Thank you so much to Callie Taylor at Taylor Made Clinic for buying our senior girls a Rebel Tea today! They're ready for semi finals in the District Tournament tonight! They play Viola at 6:30pm.

RSHS: All 11th graders will be taking the ACT on Feb. 28 at school. Please try to avoid making any appointments for these students on that day, and please help us make sure they are on time, well rested, and ready for the test. This is an excellent opportunity to take the test at no charge and to have those scores sent to the colleges that your student is considering. There are so many good scholarships available that are based on ACT scores, so please encourage students to do their best.

RSHS: Our senior high teams will be playing in the District Tournament this week. RS Boys play Timbo today at 5:15pm. Lady Rebels play tomorrow at 6:30pm. The tournament will be hosted at Viola. GO REBELS!!!

RSHS: CONGRATULATIONS to our Jr. Girls! They are District Champs AND Conference Champs! We are so proud of you! Go Lady Rebels!

RS...Benny Kocher's bus is running a little late due to difficulties.

RSES: 5th and 6th graders held a science fair this week. 5th grade winners are: Axel Rose- 3rd place, Mason Knapp- 2nd place, and Khloe Nichols- 1st place. 6th grade winners are: Jayden Blackwell- 3rd place, Ella Linville- 2nd place, and Madalynn Sutterfield- 1st place. 1st place winners received a $25 VISA gift card! Congratulations to all!

RS: Monday, Feb. 13, is the Growth Incentive Day for Winter MAP testing. Students have received a note from their teachers notifying them if they are required to attend school that day. This applies to students in grades K-10. All 11th and 12th graders are required to attend Monday.
