Thank you from the Rural Special Community. We are set! If you see Lissa Zajac please tell her thank you!! She and I have been working together for the last several weeks trying to get our school order ready. She’s been amazing working days off and even during her vacation just to make sure we get all the items we need (even those hard to get, elusive items). Thank you to Lissa and all the staff at Clinton Walmart.

Just a reminder: In partnership with RS PTO and Save the Children (working with local organizations) most all school supplies will be purchased this year for our Rural Special students. Students will ONLY need to purchase the following items: Backpack and ear buds or headphones Parents are encouraged to help out with the following items please: Kleenex and hand sanitizer. We will have some of this, but we always use a lot as well.

From MVSD: The Mountain View School District will be having PreK-12 grade New Student Registration starting on Tuesday, August 4 and continuing on Wednesday, August 5th. Registration will be from 8 AM until Noon and from 1 PM until 3 PM at the Mountain View Campus, Rural Special Campus and the Timbo Campus. Rural Special new students should report to the office at RSHS. Please call 870-363-4365 at Rural Special WE PLEASE ASK THAT ONLY ONE PARENT/GUARDIAN COME WITH THE STUDENT FOR REGISTRATION DUE TO COVID-19 CONCERNS. Thank You.

New student registration is coming up! The Mountain View School District will be having New Student Registration starting on Tuesday, August 4th and Wednesday August 5th. Registration will be from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the RS lunchroom. Please call 363-4365 to make an appointment. We ask that only one parent/guardian and student come to school during the registration.

Mountain View School District schools will be having graduation ceremonies in July. Here are the dates and locations. Rural Special Graduation will be on July 14 at 7:00 at the Mountain View football field. Timbo Graduation will be on July 16 at 7:00 at the Mountain View football field. Mountain View graduation will be on July 17 at 7:00 at the Mountain View football field. We will be providing more specific information in the coming weeks.

Rural Special: We will be handing out Kindergarten registration packets this Monday the 27th from 10:30-12:30!! Any child that is 5 by August 1st can start Kindergarten in the fall. Senior Class of 2020 - Pick up your Cap & Gowns Monday 27th 10:30-12:30! Reminder that Breakfast & Lunch pick up for the week is Monday 27th from 10:30-12:30. This is 5 lunches and breakfast for each child! Thank you Bridget, Marilyn and Emily for coming and putting these together every Monday!!

Rural Special: The next and last set of AMI work has been posted to the website. Thanks DeWyn Avey🤗 Paper copies will not be available this time as some paper copies still have not reached all students (district wide). Students may access them on a phone, tablet, computer etc. Smart phones and any other internet device can now connect to various WiFi hotspots around the county including the school parking lot. Work may be submitted via google drive (best way) or pictures may be taken and sent to your childs teacher’s email (2nd best option) or via text or messenger. Students may also choose to do them on a regular piece of paper. Drop off bins will be placed outside the high school front doors Mon-Thur 8am-1pm for drop off. Please have all work in an envelope or folder with the students name and teacher on the outside of it. But again, if possible please submit work electronically just to help keep down germs. Hope to see everyone tomorrow at Lunch Pickup.

RURAL SPECIAL, First and foremost we hope you are doing well and enjoying spring time in Arkansas. I know many of you have questions about AMI so hopefully this helps along with the live feed videos we’ve been doing. For Rural Special elementary there is a direct link on the school's website for your child to access their Google account where the AMI packets have been shared. If your child does not know their email address or password K-2 students need to talk with your child's classroom teacher to gain this information while 3rd-6th grade students need to contact Mrs. Avey or Mrs. Berry so that their passwords may be reset. All AMI packets have also been emailed and shared with every student in their Google accounts (k-6). Students requesting paper copies of the AMI packets will have two options for pickup days. Pickup will be Thursday from 11am-1pm with plastic tubs sitting outside the high school building. Packets will have each child's name clearly identified on them. The second option for obtaining AMI packets is Monday during breakfast and lunch pickup. At this time all submissions will be electronic. Students may turn in their work via their Google drive or students and parents may take a picture of the assignment with their smart phone or tablet and email the work to their teachers. High school students have the same options for paper packets; however those doing AMI electronically, packs have either been shared via Google or the teacher will be using Google classroom. RS Students & Parents: MVSD PROVIDING STUDENT MEALS WITH DISTRIBUTION AT LOCAL CHURCHES MVSD MONDAY, MARCH 16, 2020 The Mountain View School District is committed to ensuring our students are fed during this school closure. We will be providing prepackaged breakfast and lunch meals to local churches for distribution to students March 17 - March 20 from 10:30 to 12:30. Meals may be picked up at: Antioch Baptist Church First United Methodist Church Flatwoods Baptist Church First Baptist Church Pleasant Grove Baptist Church 56 Baptist Church Timbo Valley Assembly of God Meals will be given out on a first come first serve basis.
