Gratitude Week in Middle School
Blue and Gold Madness will be Monday, November 18. There will be a chili supper at 5:30. Cost is $5/person. Silent auction opens at 6:00. Introductions begin at 6:30 with a live auction. Sports drink for entry.

MVMS - Jr Beta induction will be on Wednesday the 13th at 9:40 am. The ceremony will be held in the gymnasium. Parents are encourage to attend.
MVMS - Chess Challenge Game One Results
MVMS - Assistant Principal, Coach Jones and Mrs. Vickie Stroud are our biggest chess supporters and started the Best of Three Game Chess Challenge @ MVMS where they will be playing each other to encourage the kids and increase interest in the game. The games will be played in November, December, and if necessary in January. This challenge will kick off chess at MVMS this year and has been quite the talk with kids as they choose sides between Team Stroud and Team Jones.
Five students from each grade level will be invited to be spectators at each of the games via a drawing. To be eligible for a drawing, the students will need to answer a trivia question correctly and register for the drawing before each game. The drawings will be held on the mornings of each game, and students will be given refreshments and a seat to view the game live. Game #1 is Thursday afternoon.
